Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 ("Title IX'), 20 U.S.C §1681 et seq., is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination of the basis of sex. It was signed into law to ensure that all students, faculty and staff, regardless of sex or gender, are protected from any sex-based discrimination, harassment or violence. This law applies to all schools, libraries, museums, and vocational rehabilitation agencies who receive Federal funding.
Battle Rock Charter School does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, as required by Title IX, including in admission and employment. Inquiries about the application of Title IX at Battle Rock may be referred to the school Title IX Coordinator, the Office for Civil Rights, or both.
